How we use sources
We look for convergence across owner reports, retailer reviews, hands-on roundups, manufacturer documentation, and community discussions. A claim earns trust when the same pattern shows up across independent sources.

How we score
Scores are contextual. A litter that wins on odor control may lose on dust. A fountain that looks great on paper may still slide if cleaning it feels annoying. The ranking should reflect the actual buyer problem, not just a spec sheet.
Independence policy
Affiliate commissions keep the site running, but they do not control the rankings. A recommendation has to make sense even if the affiliate link disappears or pays nothing.
